Once upon a time, when I happened to conquer the USA as an AFS-student in 1977, my host parents picked me up at Kansas City to carry me in my new home. Right on our way from K.C. to Junction City on August 16, the news came in that The King had just left the building for good. My host dad was a great Elvis-fan, which I didn´t know at the time, but I can still remember & feel the atmosphere in our car, makes me shiver even while I´m writing this down for you!

I was too overwhelmed, disoriented & struggling with way too many quite unexpected impressions of my new life and couldn´t comprehend the impact Elvis´death would have, but this odd coincidence initiated my love for his music years later.
That´s the reason for Elvis ending up right next to the divine W.A.Mozart, my sovereign God of music, but eternity lasts quite long, especially at the end & heaven is pretty infinite, as Einstein told us……my heart is big enough to love 2 exquisite musicians & at least a thousand more, and besides, the prayers to these Gods are they only ones to be answered right away!

Why I picked this model for an Elvis-tribute is quite obvious, isn´t it? He loved pink……
