Notes

This bag is made out of “PLARN” which is just used grocery bags cut into strips and joined together to resemble yarn.

It took many attempts to get the right thickness of “plarn” to get a manageable size that looked good and was easy to work with.

I just eyeballed when I was cutting the bags and I did roughly 1.5 cm width to create my “plarn” There are many good websites to use that give picture tutorials on how to fold your grocery bags to make the “plarn”

Plastic bags can be a bit rough on the hands so this project took longer then expected, they can be rather stiff and sticky at times.

However it is worth it, because in the end you have the perfect bag to take to the beach and since it’s plastic
you can get it wet and sandy without wrecking the bag!

I also used a button from the dollar store and an extra thick hair elastic that I had to secure the bag. The colours picked up the hints of green in the white background. The mainly white bags with the hint of black and green works perfectly for a sand looking background.
