This is my second time making this snood, and I can’t say enough about the pattern. I love it! If you don’t crochet, you should learn how, if only for this pattern.

The silk came from my first ColourMart purchase on ebay (I got a bunch of cone ends in different colorways). I didn’t have enough yardage of any one color to make a sweater, but there is certainly enough for a snood or two.

This project does require a bit of round elastic - and it will show through your crochet. Since I couldn’t find any blue elastic to match, I purchase regular old white elastic, and used a sharpie marker to “color” the elastic.

Hint: This project would be a great way to use up any extra yardage from finished projects.

The flower ribbons and pearls were originally intended to be a necklace, but I decided it was too bulky and stood out too far. So, I just added a couple of clips to the back, and presto, I have a lovely hair ornament.
