This is my second attempt at this sweater. I have trouble deciding on the proper gauge with ribbed pieces that are supposed to have negative ease. This one is a bit too big, but is really easy to wear and super comfy, so I am very pleased with it.

Using the vintage pattern, I made up some crochet buttons which I wrapped around Dritz plastic rings (I believe they are generally used for upholstery projects) for stability and to make it easier to get the yarn buttons through the buttonholes!
