This one was stranded on sleeve island for over a year. Life (and other projects) got in the way. I started this because I loved the design, and thought it would be a good opportunity to practice my short rows.

After picking it up again I was surprised at how much I learned in a year. If I knit something now it looks so much better. I still decided to finish this one, but there was A LOT of post-production tightening and cleaning up involved.

When I finished the sweater I wasn’t sure if I would ever wear it. I threw it in the washing machine (wool wash, cold) and to my amazement the whole thing completely transformed. The yarn was soft and fluffy, almost all signs of sloppyness and uneven tension where gone!
