This was a project requested by Cathy - and she paid me to make it for her. I honestly didn’t charge very much. It was interesting, shall I say? I don’t think I will ever make another….but as I had never made a stuffed toy before, I found it a learning experience, especially when creating the facial features - the instructions for the eyes is perfect - followed them exactly and was amazed how it achieved that sweet little look of the eyes…now I will be confident in making the one piece knitted Teddy Bear I have been threatening to make for yonks!

The yarn Cathy chose to make it was awful - hard and rough and coarse, it was supposed to be shetland yarn. I have written to Cathy to ask what brand it was as my memory is like a sieve…when I hear from her I shall update this project post. It was a reputable brand too…..Yes it was Jamieson’s Shetland Spindrift - very hard on the fingers , and broke easily - couldnt believe it…and it was the yarn recommended in the pattern instructions too.
