Test knitting for my designing friend.
02.06.13 - Bought yarn on Monday, and I will make two hats eventually…casting on after work today!
02.07.13 - Cast on, and I loved the Latvian Braid! Also, I am through the earflaps and 20 rows of the first 28 rows of colorwork before the crown…my gauge is a little off (25sts/4” vs. 26sts/4” called for), but I think that’s going to be ok. I’m actually planning to line this with fleece…the yarn is a little tickle-y.
02.07.13 - Not truly finished…stil need braids, and it is blocking as I post. Finishing touches and more pix soon!

01.06.15 - one of the finishing touches I had planned for this hat was fleece sewn in, to cut down on the itch factor. It took almost a year, but I’ve done it now! Turns out it was a great addition to a terrific hat!

This is a great pattern, and I promise I’ll link it up when she releases the final copy. The crown decreases are a little fiddle-y, but the results are simply stunning!
