Already did one version of this pattern. This time I am making a shorter version. Only one repeat of the chart before the heel.

I have no idea why you are asked to use chart 2 for the heel and toes when chart 1 lends itself so well to decreasing. I made my own heel chart.

I also did a kitchener stitch finish on the toes and heels, I felt like the socks got a little rigid when I pulled the yarn through all those sts in the tip.
