Note upon finishing as of march 3, 2009:

As with other Colinette jackets that are fitted in the shoulders and have a V slope to the closure, I find that the patterns are for folks with much less shoulder and back - I have a swimmers build with big shoulders and rib cage.

Am going to show this to an experienced knitter next week at a knitting circle and figure out how to modify pattern for myself.

Also thought I would not need the yarn called for, but the ruffles eat up a TON of yarn and although I can wear it the way it is now, I am going to get AT LEAST one more skein (maybe 2) and add to the length of the ruffling. I also want to pick up MORE stitches around the neck and chest to match the poofiness of the ruffling around the sleeves and hem.

I possibly will love this jacket after some re-working over the summer and want to be able to wear it a lot next year. The colors are great for me.

11/25/09 - ordered and got 2 more skeins of yarn.

Undid the ruffle (I didn’t do it in segments, I used one mega-mutha circular) and am knitting it back together with 2 added skeins.

Will switch to needle size 17 for knitting the area around neck and for casting off.
