There are numerous YOs, SSKs and K2togs, as well as many YOs before Purls which can be challenging for seasoned knitters, let alone novice knitters.
I highly suggest getting in the habit of double-checking your stitches at the end of each row section (meaning, between the stitch markers of the main pattern & spine sections on each row) to make sure they are correct, otherwise, being off by one stitch can throw the whole pattern off kilter.
I found row counters to be very helpful while knitting this pattern.
I was proactive (maybe a bit much!) and counted the following row to make sure my total stitch count was correct in the current row I was knitting before moving on. That helped prevent frogging back several rows. While I’m making suggestions, I also recommend using a Lifeline after each completed section (meaning, Section A, Section B, etc…).
The BO method I used was Jeny’s Surprisingly Stretchy Bind-Off.
8/4 - After a few rocky starts, I finally have the rhythm.
8/6 - Finished Section A. Yay!
8/7 - Inserted lifeline!
8/11 - Finished Section B.
8/13 - Finished Section C.
8/17 - Finished Section D.
8/25 - Finished Section E.
9/4 - Finished Section F.
9/7 - Finished Section G.
9/8 - BO & blocking!
