I modified the “Virus Shawl meets Deichspielerei” pattern to make a square throw. Took a bit of doing, but I just had to figure out how to start in a corner and then I took it from there. I started out trying to make the variegated part a granny square-type pattern, but I couldn’t get it to lay flat no matter what I did. So since the pattern “Virus Shawl meets Deichspielerei” had already been worked out to accommodate the Virus Shawl, I figured this one might work. And so far (through R17), it does lay flat.
