#1 - 1/1/16; done in Homespun Regency
For the green hat, since this yarn is a bulky weight and the pattern calls for worsted weight, I went up a hook size to a J and made the Teen/Adult Small size to get a regular ladies’ adult size hat (it fits me just perfectly). The bottom band ended up to be about 19.5” around but it does stretch a bit. It’s 7” from top to bottom.
I started with a ch-5 for the beginning circle, and I only did increases on rounds 1-4, then I worked even for rows 5-11 (24 puff stitches). Then I did the sc band for rows 12-15.
I’m not a hat wearer, but this hat looks really good on me. I wasn’t sure how it would work with Homespun, but boy, is it soft!

#2 - 1/1/16; Homespun Bella Vista
For the brown hat, I used a size K hook to make a man’s hat. I started with a ch5 and worked increases only in rounds 1-4, then I worked even up through round 12. I did 4 rounds of sc after that. It ended up to be 21” around the bottom and 8.5” top to bottom.

#3 - 1/25/16; Homespun Williamsburg (lt blue) and Colonial (dk blue)
I used a size K hook and worked it the same as #2. It ended up to be 20” around the bottom and 8.25” top to bottom.

#4 - 1/25/16; Homespun Disco
I used a J hook and worked the same as #2. It came out to be 18.5” around the bottom and 7.75” top to bottom.

#5 - 1/29/16; Homespun Edwardian & Sandstone
I used a size K hook and started with the dark (Edwardian). I worked 4 rounds of increases (24 puffs), then worked even for rounds 4-12. I did 1 round of sc with the Edwardian and then changed to Sandstone for 5 more rounds of sc. It came out to be 19” around the bottom and 8.5” top to bottom.
