checked gauge, and just like last time 4.5mm needles are doing the trick.

4 Aug- started on the collar, seriously my favorite part of the whole cardi.

6 Aug- collar finished, starting increases.

7 Aug- why did not keep any notes on this “invisible purl increase”? I should have known better.

8 Aug- it’s slowly coming back to me, so I am making progress.

12 Aug- almost done with the increases

20 August- Trucking along, increases done, shaping waist (decreases), this is going relatively quickly!

28 August- 1st Sleeve is ready to start! Picked up stitches, ready to go.

31 August- 1st sleeve done! on to the second one! I am so glad to see I will be ready for the KAL deadline

13 Sep- bit of a set-back, just seriously starting on the second sleeve now. We are driving to NY, so this should be a breeze.

13 Sep- In NY, ended up doing quite a bit of driving myself, so I finished the sleeve but not much else.

14 Sep- walked for 10 hours today. Am exhausted and to make matters worse, I just measured the 2 sleeves, and the one I knit yesterday is too short! It was already bound off! Thank God, I did not cut the thread. Unravelling a few rows.

18 Sep- So no other progress made during our NY trip, but I did fix the sleeve.

19 Sep- finished the left button band, I read the post on Luvinthemommyhood about picking up stitches, and I have to say, this is my best work yet!! Post is here:

22 Sep- Buttonhole band is next. Hm….not working out with the instructions in the pattern, I must be missing something.
23 Sep- 2nd try, had to google it, and found this video on youtube that is very helpful:

28 Sep- weaving in ends, putting finishing touches on sweater.

30 Sep- Done, blocking. It looks great, I am super-proud!
