Needed a new craft room rug so l decided to make a crochet sample or two…
Several sample squares/blocks later l finally decided on the 8 petal flower modified from the Japanese flower with 12 petals
I tried different thickness of yarns and hooks but finally used 3 strands of Robin chunky acrylic in Moorland a tweedy stone coloured yarn for the Rug(WIP) and the bath mat was made with 6 strands of a DK acrylic in 4 colours worked together as one yarn..gives a real chunky feel

First squares l tried l used all the colours from the new craft room chosen fabric, but decided that a plain colour was more what l was looking for
The sample squares will be made into cushions for the new soft lime sofas in the craft room
