March 23rd: Working on sizes :-D There should be sizes from 2T to 8 yo. And with or without hood options.
I initially named this one “Ermeline”, then thought it would be a unisex garment and switched to “Armel”.
Now I realise this is probably too girly for a unisex garment. I’ll switch back to my initial name and keep “Armel” for a boy version of this design.
March 21st: finally finally finished it today. Maud wore it, and it looks so awesome ! Will probably include a sans-hood version in final pattern.
The hood on this sample is a bit large, will adapt the numbers and use this size for the 6 yo size.
Jan 10th: first sleeve finished, starting to write down pattern.. Aha ! :-)
Jan 7th: There’s always this kind of fear by the end of a project, that maybe it won’t look as hoped in the end, or maybe I’ll do the finishing all wrong and ruin the whole project…
Finally went back to it yesterday and it’s now nearly all done, except to add long sleeves and some kind of closure. Looking so cool, and it fits maud perfectly :-D
Dec 17th: Grabbed more yarn on monday, and took an “afternoon off” yesterday and worked on the hood again. Looks pretty cool so far, except that it may fit Maud better than Prune. No biggie, I’ll make it a 4 yo size, and work up a larger one for my oldest (got yarn for that too). Sorry for the slit at basis of hood, will fix that soon.
Nov 22nd: So happy with this little hoodie so far, … except I’m afraid to run out of yarn! Not sure if I’ll have enough for the long sleeves, or if I have to run down to grenoble to buy a couple more skeins… or try to make do with what I have even if that means tweaking the design.. :-/
Nearly done with the goblin hood, and the body is done too. Need to finish second side of hood, work the collar, bands… and sleeves too !
Nov 16th:
Starting a new top kind of based on the Roselette for the beginning, but with long sleeves and added details.. :-)
I actually have 2 ideas of designs, we’ll see how goes with my first idea otherwise I’ll switch to the second one.. :-)
