Quick and easy pattern!

My first try (using an H hook and same cotton yarn but different colors) was way too big for a pin cushion. See photo with the purple one underneath the patriotic one.

So I grabbed a F hook and different cotton yarn colors in red, white and blue and a varigated red/white/blue. I reduced the rounds from 10 between the two single crochets to 7 between the two single crochets. I single crocheted the two hexagons together in white yarn leaving a small opening for the batting and then continued to stitch it closed. Turned out nicely.

I use the cotton yarn in red with a large embroidery needle to sew around the corners and to attach the blue button.
