Modifications:

1. Knit with less ease, I knit the 52” size at a gauge that got me a slightly smaller sweater (between 48-52) because my high bust measurement is 48”

2. Sleeves: The larger sizes have very wide cuffs (almost twice the circumference of my wrist in this size) so I cast on the number of stitches for 2 sizes smaller and then, after the ribbing, worked increases at the beginning and end of every round every other round.

3. With the left and right fronts, I decreased one stitch at the neck side every other row until I decreased away the 29 stitches that would have gone around and been grafted behind the neck.

4. Collar/neck band. I worked short rows to give me a little more collar, I worked them between the decreases on both fronts. I also made 5 buttonholes instead of 4 because I prefer odd numbers.

A little note about row gauge. I knit a swatch and used that gauge to tell me how many repeats of the pinecone lace I should knit before shaping, rather than knitting 17” and then blocking that.

I also used backing buttons on all my buttons, and I highly recommend that.
