For the opposite rear leg, you’ll want to turn the leg at Row 28, not 29.

Also, I find the directions make it impossible to actually start crocheting the neck directly to the head, so I chained 24, sc’d in the cast-on loop and went around from there. Then I just sewed the neck to the head, stuffed it, and attached to the body.

I also did not stuff the mane or tail; they were far too heavy even without stuffing.

The eyes are layered felt, which I’m not 100% satisfied with, but it works in a pinch and is pretty accurate.

I want to try doing the eyes on wax paper with puffy paint, letting them dry in stages, and then peeling the eyes off of the paper and gluing them on with fabric or super glue.

Additionally, I’m not satisfied with the method of making the mane and tail. I have a DIY for making cat tails from yarn that would allow me to brush out and straighten yarn to make more believable hair, which will be easier on the body in the long run (and lighter).
