As I learned from the books, stockings were never worn on Vormsi island (which was inhabited by the Coastal Swedes), but red legwarmers were a constant part of the everyday clothing of the women of Vormsi. And they were worn together with white socks.
This pattern asks for fine yarn and fine needles.
I checked the suggested yarns and compared that gauge with the my gauge of Teksrena Knitting Wool and needles #2.
Next reason to choose that wool:
I have enough red Teksrena Knitting Wool in my stash, but unfortunately only 50g skeins of the HEA yarn in some colours ….
I will combine these legwarmes with the corresponding white socks from Vormsi Island (see page 297) so that I will be well prepared when I leave to Latvia and Estonia end of June.
There is a small error in the english text: you have to increase from 120 stitches to 142
My gauge was tighter than usual (I learn that this depends on your momentaneous mood) and this is my final result:
CO 111 stitches with #2,5, immediately change to #2,0

5x 4 increases every 11th round
