This is going to be a very intense knitting project. I have to have this done and blocked by November 25th.
Two weeks to get a fingering weight lace shawl done.
Challenge accepted.

I am so incredibly in love with this thing! Seriously, one of my life’s goals was to own an ivory colored, hand knit lace shawl. The fact that I’m making it myself is just amazing.

I’ve rather fallen in love with the open lace work, so I did a repeat of the first 16 rows of chart 2 after completing the whole chart the first time. I’m debating about doing so again in order to make this shawl drastically larger.
22 Nov.
10 days. Over 700 yards. And I love it!
Blocked out to a whopping 88 inch wingspan with a 40 inch spine.
I think I’ve reached the pinnacle of my knitting. It’s all downhill from here.
Notes:
I only did one repeat of those 16 rows, which is a good thing. I would have run out of yarn.
Went up 2 needle sizes because I was lazy and didn’t feel like hunting down my 4’s. I love how that effected the finished fabric.
All in all, this was a great project and the finished piece is heirloom quality, in my heightened opinion of myself.
