so the ambition is to make a zig zag blanket, big enough to wrap myself in or cover my bed with random zigzags using the yarn from the snicket club… which has not finished so this will be a very long and large work in progress

25 Mar: Cast on garter in it’s cold outside, did first 13 rows of zig zag in Baudelaire mansion. Working pattern of 363 stitches, with a 13 stitch pattern over 13 rows of colour with borders of 6’s, it’ll be a palindromic unfortunate blanket

26 Mar: am pacing myself, did 13 rows of the Reptile Room tonight. Just checked Ravelry and realised that everyone had been getting their SQ yarn club so went outside in the pitch black poking around for my package and there it was, this will be an unfortunate blanket!

27 Mar: 13 rows of Lake Lacrimose. Wound yarns no 6 & 7

28 Mar: 13 rows of Count Olaf

29 March: 13 rows of cakesniffers… I have only two more colours to go then I will have to wait a month to see the next colour…. ooo, anticipation

29 April: 13 rows of Esme Squalor done… I am too impatient for the next colour

It now has 11 of the snicket colours completed, looking forward to the last two colours - I may repeat the 13 rows again to make it even bigger

Final Details:
Border of 6 rows at cast on edge, running border of 6 sts each side and final 6 rows at top.
13 st pattern worked over 363 sts per row over 13 rows in 1 of 13 colours, repeat whole process 3 times.
Final figures:
507 rows of pattern @ 363 sts = 184,041 sts
12 rows of border @ 375 sts = 4,500
507 rows of border @ 12 sts = 6084

total sts worked = 194,625

It’s unblocked at the moment but measuring will be done after I can wrestle back off the kids.
