Cece is 3 years old in the first two photos (9/25/19) and little sister Tessa is 4.5 years old in the third photo (12/28/22) and 5.5 years old in the fourth and fifth photos (2/3/24 and 5/30/24).

I followed the button band directions from Sirdar #1340 and picked up 62 sts instead of 74 sts because the button band was too wavy as written. I worked 6 button band rows instead of 7.

The pattern says to pick up stitches around the neck for the hood and to pick up more stitches than were bound off. I had trouble doing this so I picked up as many stitches as I could, added a few yarn overs, and then worked the yarn overs through the back loop on the next row.

If I were to make this again I would only go down one needle size for the bottom rib instead of two because it pulls in a lot.

I used six 3/4” buttons from Michaels.
