Amelia is 5 months old in the photo (4/1/17).

I think this cardigan is adorable and I enjoyed making it. It worked up very quickly.

The pattern was well written but the lack of sizing information is, in my opinion, unacceptable. There are absolutely no measurements provided in the pattern and gauge is only given in SC, not in the stripe pattern, so I don’t know if the size I ended up making is even correct. (Gauge: 13 sts x 15 rows = 3” in SC)

The only part of this pattern that I had trouble with were the button bands. I couldn’t get them to lay flat. So I played around and ended up with 39 SC for the left button band and 42 SC for the right button band (instead of 43 SC). Since I was one stitch short on the right button band I worked two SC between the bottom buttonhole and the edge instead of three.

The only thing I don’t like about this cardigan is that the buttons don’t look like they’re centered on the button bands. I used 1/2” buttons which are larger than recommended in the pattern, so maybe that’s why.

I didn’t want this cardigan to be too girly but I thought it needed some feminine details so I used pink buttons from Hobby Lobby and added a bow.

The bow measures 2.5” wide. I used the Tres Beau pattern from Simply Crochet magazine. The knot, which is two SC, is 1/2” wide and 1.5” long.

I used five 1/2” buttons from Hobby Lobby.
