I cast on 84 sts instead of 88 sts for an 18” circumference instead of 18.5”.

I knit this hat 10.5” long instead of 9.5” long. I added 0.25” to each stripe: black until hat measures 3” long, dark gray until hat measures 6.25” long, light gray until hat measures 9.25” long, work 10 rnds crown shaping.

72 rnds total: 21 rnds black (12 rib, 9 stockinette), 21 rnds dark gray, 30 rnds light gray (20 stockinette, 10 crown).

I made a 3.5” pom-pom using my Clover pom-pom maker.
