I made myself a scrubby to match my mother’s. I made mine smaller so it would fit into my sponge caddy by using a G/4mm hook (versus the H/5mm hook I used for my mother’s scrubby).

I think this scrubby is wicked cute and it works well but it’s not as good as my scrubbies made out of Red Heart Scrubby.

I worked this scrubby with one strand of yarn instead of two because the yarn I used is thicker than the yarn used in the pattern.

I put a locking stitch marker in the loop of the blue yarn when working the other colors so it wouldn’t unravel.

I worked four rounds of the back instead of five so I had 48 stitches for both the front and back. I added a FPDC every other stitch to add some extra scrubbiness. When I joined the back to the front I worked through both loops of the front instead of just the back loop because I liked how it looked.

I chained 15 instead of 10 for the hanging loop to make it a little longer. Even though I am planning to keep my scrubby in my sponge caddy, I think the hanging loop is cute.

The back weighed 7 grams before joining to the front and the front weighed 10 grams. The scrubby’s finished weight is 18 grams.
