My daughter and I are working on the next batch of scarves to be donated to “Handmade Especially for You”
Handmade Especially For You is Leslye Borden’s project. Leslye collects and distributes handmade scarves to abused women in shelters… because they were brave enough to leave their abusive situation… it is given as as a sign of support and love. It is amazing what one scarf can do.

Each scarf made for Leslye’s project is like a warm “hug”. Each scarf is tied with a ribbon and has a note signed by the comfort scarf maker, showing that someone cares deeply enough to make a beautiful and very special gift.

1. Lobster Trap Scarf with Fishnet Trim
   Modifications: I took out a couple dc groups to make the scarf less wide.

   Simple fishnet stitch with triangles from Thirds added to the ends.
   Pink: Caron Simple Soft Party (Fushia Sparkle)
   Blue: Shimmer (Royal)

3. Garter Stitch scarf with loopy fringe
   Deborah Norville Everyday (Cotton Candy)
   Embellishments: loopy fringe

6. DOUBLE CROCHETED SCARF with fluff
   Modifications. I chained 150 & worked the scarf longways, then added fluff to the ends with the white yarn.
