I love this doll pattern - I just sort of want to forget all of my other wips and just make dolls :0)

The dress is a variation on the pattern dress, knit top down, using K1, m1 for every ssk or k2tog. Also I just knit the whole thing in stockinette with a purl bind-off at each sleeve and at the hem and one row of garter stitch at the neck cast-on. Increased to 120 stitches at the waist and 240 for the ruffle.

I really like the Tosh DK in Pink Clay for the flesh color - I ended up with it by accident the first time as I just could not find a suitable color in any other yarn, but then it worked so well I’ve used it again and have enough left for a third doll - it does make for a rather posh dolly though!

I truly used gobs of yarn for the hair - I knotted strands at the part center as specified, and then ran an additional row down the part so that I ended up with double the yarn on each side and then I also knotted strands around the edge of the skull cap. I think I’ll do that again in the future but use a lighter weight yarn.
