Notes

For my daughter’s mother-in-law, Sara, who is very recently widowed. I’m hoping that this shawl will bring a tiny amount of comfort through it’s cheery color (her favorite) and it’s merinocashmerey softness.

5/5 Knitting complete, soaking and getting ready to block. This yarn colorway reminds me of all kinds of juicy fruit; nectarines, tangerines, papayas, ruby grapefruit, canteloupe - and it’s so incredibly luxuriously soft - such a treat!
5/4 I’ve used 294 yards to get to the start of the border according to the pattern, but I’m going to do an extra repeat of the body lace/garter/stockinette before starting the border for my shawl. Extra repeat 47g. Border 24g.

Unblocked measurements: 57” x 20”
Blocked to: 67” x 26”
Dry measurements: 23.5” x 67”

Thanks Elizabeth for keeping me company with this quick knit - it’s always more fun knitting with you! :0)
