There is a mistake on the stitch count after all of the increases on the 12 month size. There are 14 center stitches between the sets of elephants, rather than the 10 mentioned in the pattern.

I’m adding three additional rows to the garter stitch at the bottom of the cardigan and binding off on the purl side. I want the band to be slightly wider.

I’m just now noticing (after blocking) that the sample shown on the pattern has two stitches on each side after the garter edges before the elephant trunks. Maybe that accounts for the extra 4 stitches that I had to put between the elephant butts in the back of the sweater to make the stitch count match what was written in the pattern. A note about plain stitches before the chart wasn’t in the pattern. It might have made my trunks look a little neater. I think my tension on the Fair Isle portion could have been slightly looser, but the only part that seems messy are the trunks touching the garter. If I make this again I’ll definitely put in those extra stiches.
