• I’m combining the navy lace with gold thread as per her request.

• I just finished the first “block” of the pattern (rows 1-11) and I’m loving how the navy and gold work together. I had to pull out two rows because of a missed stitch, and the lace and thread didn’t tangle at all. Was super easy to go back and fix.

• Finished the second “block” of the pattern (rows 12-22). It looks really good. The rest of the pattern (not including the lace border) repeats rows 2-22 six times.

• Took me exactly one month! Usually, I finish projects like these much quicker, but I had an unexpected out of town trip right in the middle of it. And then I had a hell of a time trying to get more thread. I’m going to leave a link here so I remember where to buy it next time.

• 600 yards of gold thread for $8.

• I crocheted 8 total sections, even though the pattern only asks for 6.

PATTERN NOTES

• Pay close attention to the # of chains in round 9; it is different from the previous rounds and will throw you off if you don’t do it right.
