The bows were made by knitting a garter stitch strip of 10 sts in worsted weight wool, tying it in the middle and adding a button to it. Followed the slipper pattern in Medium and it fit my friend’s size 8 feet perfectly.

The M1 is really an M1L and is to be done by picking up the horizontal bar between two stitches from front to back and then knitting it through the back. Here’s a link; just scroll down for the M1L.

Also, slip the first stitch purlwise with yarn in front.
