5Sept2013: Ack! The cooler weather is here and I haven’t finished my “summer” sweater! Typical.

The drape and elasticity of this yarn is incredible. I have barely enough yarn… so I am top-downing the sleeves until there is nothing left. It’s impossible to measure, because of the stitch pattern and the nature of the yarn. If you hold it up, gravity stretches it to to the right size. But when you lay it down, it’s 30% shorter!

I only did a half-collar, stopping before you change needles for the fold-over part.

18July2013: I needed something to 1) knit during shows and films, because everything else right now is super-complicated colorwork and 2) not be so damn hot on my lap in 32/90 deg weather!

Picking up this Rowan mag again, I realize I love at least 6 things in it. THERE IS NOT ENOUGH TIME TO KNIT.

I used the US6 needle to do the ribbing, but found it way too tight. So I re-did it with US8. It still might be too tight. But I can’t go up a size because I probably won’t have enough yarn as it is…

Love the effect of knitting with US10 and purling with US17… but it sure makes a lot of noise during the movie. Oops.
