IMPORTANT NOTE: Buy at least one more ball of color G, whichever you may choose. I and others have noticed that the yarn amount specified is to little.

03May09: This is stunning… please go out there and buy all of the kidsilk night you can! It is amazing, warm, and one of the most beautiful things I’ve made.

I wanted to take the Kaffe Fassett challenge and try a different combo of colors from the Earth Stripe pattern. I’m using kidsilk night because it is now discontinued (thus, on sale), and I love things that sparkle. This yarn is gorgeous, I’m disappointed I never tried it before, maybe they would have continued making it! The sparkle is very subtle.

To decide on colors I made a chart of what colors go together in the original pattern. Some colors are barely used and are only ever used with one or two other colors. This made it easier to come up with better combos… the letter substitutions are written above with the yarn colors I chose. I think I have the entire Kidsilk Night line all in one wrap! I’m pleased. I fell in love with Swimmingly’s wrap at a meet-up at Mouline in Montreal, and just had to start one for myself.
