December 3, 2013: A test knit for Atelier Alfa! A very addictive shawl.

For the swirls, be careful about picking up when you have just finished a wrong side. If you always pick up on the side that is facing you, one swirly end will look seamless on the right side, but the other end will show a seam on the right side. Not good! So, after finishing a wrong side, don’t pick up a stitch facing you. Instead, turn the work a little and pick up from a purl bump the cast-on row facing the right side. This will properly turn the ‘seam’ to the wrong side.
