A test knit for Natalia Demakova!
Very fun mitt to make. I can’t decide if it’s a leaf or a cool alien species hand. ;)
I love tight mitts that poke out with points, so this pattern called to me right away.
I tacked down the ring to the tip to try and keep the tip down. It’s not the perfect fix, but it keeps the point from slowly but surely flipping up with wear.
I made the thumb hole a little bigger than the pattern.
For the edge stitches I slipped the first st and purled the last. This meant that I had to increase differently on each side to make the edge stitch nice. You see, m1 is very difficult before a slipped stitch. So, if the inc was at the beginning of the row I did a m1. But, if the inc was at the end of the row, I did a inc in the f and b.
