11shawls2011 #7
06.07.11 After I run into some problems with this project I needed some shawl therapy to relax ;-)) I have chosen this simple and lovely pattern. I have few ideas for the border. Will see how it goes :-))
About the yarn: absolutely beautiful :-)) It is silk, but not slippery. It is soft and the color is just so stunning. The color varies a little from softer to darker green and this creates nice effect.
06.20.11 After 10 repeats of the main pattern 40.7 g of yarn left.
06.23.11 With 4 rows left of repeat 11, I have 33.4g of yarn left.
06.26.11 The shawl is done :-)))) I love how it turned out, even that I did not have enough yarn (I must get a scale, so this doesn’t happen again!!) and had to change the border from the original idea. The border originally was planed to be wider, but I misjudged how much yarn I had left and started the border late. Not wanting to re-knit, I changed the border a little. I also used picot BO to create that uneven look at the edge which I love.
I am very happy with the result :-)) The yarn is truly spectacular. It is 2-ply 100 % Tussah silk from DyeForYarn. Colorway is called Tree frog sitting on a leaf :-))
07.25.11 The pattern is now available :-))
