This pattern is going to be a part of the e-book “Variations on a Theme”.
Caprice No. 24 in A minor is the final caprice of Niccolò Paganini’s 24 Caprices, and a famous work for solo violin.
The caprice has provided a rich seam of material for works by many composers.

Another bottom up shawl design. This time I am starting from few stitches. I was inspired by stitch patterns I was using in another project I am working on right now and I really wanted to try this gorgeous yarn from ColourMart….so, this shawl idea just came together :-))
Also, I started knitting this shawl during the time I was sitting home with my son, who had terrible case of flu. I was knitting“ Rhapsody in Grey” while my son slept with very high fever. I had a feeling then, that I just do not want to knit anything grey. I wanted some color-therapy to lift up my mood. My Cashmere yarn from ColourMart just arrived and an idea of this shawl came together very quickly. I absolutely in love with this stitch pattern and this shawl :-))
The color of this yarn is just sooo beautiful.
The shawl is growing very fast. It is very easy to memorize the pattern and I must say the shawl knits itself ;-)

01.16.13 The shawl is done and needs to be blocked. :-)

01.19.13 Still needs to be blocked. I ordered blocking wires for this shawl and was hoping they will be here today, but no such luck. Maybe Monday :-)

01.25.13 The shawl has been finished and blocked. LOVE :-))) so cozy :-)) The yarn is gorgeous. Rinsed the shawl in hot water 3 times until water was no longer chalky looking. Then, washed with some hand soap once and rinsed. Blocked beautifully. Yarn soften so much and bloomed. Just so luxuriously soft.

02.03.13 The pattern will be available after test knitting is completed.

Yarn:
Gorgeous, gorgeous yarn. I rinsed it 3 times in hot water to remove oil. The water was very milky looking after first two rinses. After that, I washed it once in hot soapy water. After shawl dried, the yarn felt just buttery soft. It is very light and warm shawl. Extremely happy with this yarn and will definitely knit from it again :-)
