Cast on 12 stitches JMCO (total 24 st)
Magic loop

1. (K 2, m1L, k to 2 st from end, m1R, k 2) twice
2. Knit around

Repeat until 56 stitches total

Begin pattern on top of foot, keeping sole as stockinette stitch. I used Dot Stitch, page 18 of 400 Knitting Stitches a complete dictionary of essential stitch patterns by Potter Craft.

Work even for 11 full pattern repeats, then an additional 1 1/2 rnds. Work FLK heel halfway through round, 10 stitches in center.

Continue with patterning on front of leg until end of round 8 of the same repeat.

Now continue pattern around all stitches until 11 repeats on leg. K 3 more rounds.

Work 20 rounds k2, p2 rib. Sewn bind off.
