I knit the hood as a rectangle, folded in half and sewn up the back seam. The fur trim is a tube started as 9 stitches and increased 3 stitches 3 times for a total of 18 stitches (once in each color band.) I then attached the tube as I knit by working one stitch from the trim together with a picked up loop from the bound off edge of the hood on each round. US Size 10 needles for trim, size 15 with extra bulky yarn for hood. Worked second tail in reverse as beginning.
