long tail cast on 50 sts using size 15s, change to size 11s for twisted 1x1 rib then change back to 15s for increase round (twas tricky to math together during migraine attack but finally figured to be: k1, kfb skipping the increase on 16th st, 3x) & commenced stitch pattern (just a few rounds before hand charting it out for easy reference)

less elegant than i’d prefer but i was making it up as i went along. i learned early on that ripping back with this fluffy single ply yarn really deteriorated the stitch definition so i did as little tinking as possible! which meant careful consideration & planning ahead (; sometimes i wasn’t all that into it, honestly. for the most part, decreases were done during a cable twist (K2tog the behind sts) save one round when it just seemed time to decrease, or even cable early.
