another laparoscopy means another convalescence project, i guess!

this time i waited until the night before to cast on, since in august i managed to complete my convalescing project before surgery & had to scramble to prep another one before i was doped up!

for a turned hem instead of corrugated ribbing, used a provisional CO on 3.0mm & waste yarn, used the 2.5mm to purl back across all sts then turn & knit across again before joining to work in the round.

total hem 13 rows before turning row. small 6 row outlined & filled hearts, two rows per color. transition down to pink for turning hem.
then 4 rows per color corrugated rib, with an extra on the last color before joining to provisional CO with MC. followed by increase round. then chart!

blocked over my ginormous Christmas bauble, still too short to properly block the hem & bottom few inches of the hat!

but at least i remembered to snap a wrong side pic before taking it to the fair! I’ve loved wearing this hat & can’t wait to get it back in 2weeks
