This was one of those work avoidance impulse knits:) I am ridiculously pleased with this and will wear it a lot.

The pattern caught my eye and I had a lot of this yarn which I am using for another project. This is a super bulky thick and thin yarn that is absolutely beautiful. Very soft, easy to work with, Chris’s dyeing is extraordinary, and in this pattern it knit up into an amazing fabric. The bumps and ridges are quite toad-like, thus the re-naming of the cowl.

I modified this pattern quite a bit, as I thought that if I knit it as written using this yarn it wouldn’t fit over my head, and even if it did, it would be strangulating:) So I cast on 60 sts for a 21-22” cowl. I used much larger needles for the cast on and bind off as well.
