Notes

03/15/15 - Using the remnants of my stash yarn on single crochet squares. I’m trying to complete my first afghan/blanket doing crochet. At the same time, I’m learning new techniques, stitches & color placement in each square I pick. I am enjoying my time in creating each individual square. No end date or set # of squares to make is in sight.

08/05/16 - I have now come up with my layout I want for my blanket. With having the layout I now have total # of squares I need: 20x 12” squares, 16x 7” squares, 1x Large center square (possible squared off mandala), and 4 rectangle strips of different stiches. I got my inspiration from another designer’s afghan pattern. I was lead to this designer by a fellow CTC member emailing me saying she thought I would enjoy the designer’s square patterns. Which I do love them, and will be making a couple of them.

Each square has it’s own individual listing in my projects. But here they are in chronological order:

  2. Denna (12”)

Changed my mind on what I was doing with my squares. Made most of the squares into ponchos for my family.

This was a fun learning experience doing all of these squares.
