This is the boy’s version of the “Over the Heel” Hat.
I have knit more than a dozen of these wonderful hats over the years. They are a favorite with both kids and parents! Kids love this smart hat becouse it makes scarfs unnecessary, does not fall of the head when they run and climb things, covers the ears and keeps them warm. Parents love it becouse this hat is almost impossible to loose, and did I mention keeping the kids warm?
The hats look wonderful on boys and girls alike.
They take relatively little yarn and a pleasure to knit. If you have ever wanted to try knitting socks but were putting it off - here is your chance for a practise run, this hat is shaped like a regular sock heel.
