Here are my final thoughts on this blanket. First of all I have truly enjoyed the pattern and it has given me much inspiration for future projects.The instructions were clear and precise. Full marks to the designer!
The only difficult part is the beginning, past the circle until one gets the “rhythm” of the blanket. Then it becomes a wonderfully relaxing project.
I wish I have used larger needles. Yes, the blanket would have been “holier”, but also lighter and larger in diameter. And, what is most important I have underestimated how a circular shape project will “eat up” the yarn. I f I had more yarn I probably would have made it larger. As it is the blanket is a size of lapghan or a baby blanket.
As to the ripple - it was unintended. The consequence of the extra rows I put in by accident during the crucial first round.
So, will I make it again? Most probably.
