Notes

4/5/15 - Happy Easter…..I finished! I knit like a ninja for a whole week….It soaked and is now blocking.

Weighs 359 grams = 1,178 yards (447 for 2014 and 731 just in this past week)

3/29/15 - I got a message from my friend about this scarf…..embarrassingly, it has been almost a year. I pulled it out and it was 37.95% done…..so, looks like I will be knitting like crazy….her son’s birthday is 4/18

4/27/14 - I got to the end of first yellow…. This is 1/12 of the scarf being done…..so, that means it should have been one foot, but it wasn’t…. It was only 7 1/4”…meaning that when I’m done, it would only be 7 1/4 feet….. Also, it was only 8 1/2” wide…..so, I knew I needed to use a larger needle. I restarted and did about 34 rows and it should have been 4 3/4”, but it was only about 3 1/2”….but at least this time, it was 10 1/4” wide. So I restarted a 3rd time, with less stitches wide and even larger needles. I went to 25 rows, and that should be at 3 1/2” and it’s at about 3 1/4” and 11” wide…..now…..taking into consideration that when the whole thing is done, the weight of the scarf will stretch the scarf a bit. I sent a bunch of pictures to my friend and we spoke of denseness, etc….she decided to go with number 2…it has the potential to be 3 feet short of the full 12 feet…but I think the weight of the scarf will make up for it..the last one on size 10 needles was far to loose….but the only one I could get it the numbers to work on.

4/15/14 - I am making Dr. Who scarf for commission for a friend’s son…..major fiasco on ordering they yarn, but I finally got it, cast on and got to work…..
