I have a bunch of cotton yarn from my grandmother and have been wanting to make a bag for a while---will be a great summer project. I’m using the tips and mods in this project for guidance. I messed up the first disappearing loop cast on but the second time got the hang of it.

Making great progress. Decided to just do the lace throughout the who bag instead of adding the stockinette rows like the previously mentioned project does. (And sorry about the color inconsistency in the yarn---I’m terrible at capturing jewel tones in different lights.)

Going very well. Just started second skein (they go quick!) and have about 11 holes/rows of the pattern.

7.19.13
I have about 25 repeats of the lace rounds. Now I’m switching back to the size 6 needles and working on the top and handle. And I’m just into the third skein.

Just finished. But I will have to rethink the strap length. I went with 22”. But with a bit of weight in the bag, it drags on the floor then. As is, it’d be perfect it I only ever carry it on my shoulder or else carry it around empty. ;)
