I love the Claudia Scarf!! I’ve made so many in different colours and finally they are all here together on my project page (most of them have been donated to charity events).
Each scarf has a starting chain of 22 sts. with a 5mm hook for a width of approx. 4.5” and length of approx. 60”. The yarns are either Red Heart Soft, Caron Simply Soft, worsted cotton or unknown fibres from the thrift/charity shop. I also hand-dyed several of the cotton scarves (Rit dyes).
The purple Claudia has the ends sewn together to create an infinity scarf. I then crocheted a border along both edges, using the border pattern from the Aspen Infinity Cowl.
The blue Claudia infinity scarf has a Bars & Scallops border around one edging. I used a pattern stitch from one of my many crochet mags but altered it quite a bit.
July 10, 2015: I crocheted 24 inches of the Claudia Scarf in orange cotton, seamed together to make a cowl and added a border top and bottom.
Border: sc in one stitch, skip one stitch, 4dc in next stitch, skip one stitch, all the way around.
January 16, 2016: Crocheted with Red Heart Soft in the Honey colourway and a 6mm hook.
January 24, 2016: Caron Simply Soft in Plum Wine colourway and 6mm hook.
May 11, 2016: Red Heart Soft in Lavender.
June 29, 2016: I started with a chain of 30 sts. for this scarf (all the others are 22 sts.) for a width of 6” / 15 cm. Yarn is Sugar ‘n Cream cotton in Country Red.
Sept. 13, 2016 30 sts. and Caron Simply Soft in Burgundy for a warm and cheery scarf.
