Tips: I am “big boned” and the pattern as written was going to be far too small. I used Knit Picks 10.5 needles on a 60 inch cable, and switched down to size 10 at row 50. The thumb is too short for me as written (I also have long nails), so I added three rows before beginning the decrease.

3/28/10 Done! I did it, I did it!

3/21/10 Frogged Right mitten 20 rows in. I made a mistake somewhere around row 9 (I have big trouble with row 9 of this project, I don’t know why) and it perpetuated itself. Do-over.

3/20/10 Left mitten complete. I did it! The thumb feels a little bit short, hope that blocking helps.

3/18/10 Later that same day: Progress! I’m up to the thumb gusset on the left mitten. So far, the pattern isn’t that hard to follow. Added photos of current state.

3/18/10 I’m terrified of these mittens, because I’ll have to Really Follow A Pattern.
