Notes

I test knit this hat for Yarnthing. The pattern is very well written and easy to follow. I think the fact that I used a nubbly yarn obscured the pattern a bit, at least the baby cables, but I love the texture of this yarn. I got great gauge while knitting, but had some definite growth issues after soaking. I had planned to block this around a dinner plate but my plates aren’t big enough… I love the way this yarn feels while knitting. It feels a bit rough in the skein but knitting with it and the fabric it makes are like heaven. I feel like the silk and the wool are fighting each other for who can make the yarn more spectacular… the silk give shine and drape, the wool gives warmth and sproing… perfect!

If I knit this hat with this yarn again I would go down a needle size to counteract post-washing growth.
